There are some really boorish men out there and I hate them!
Why is it that when some men (yes, those of the boorish persuasion) see a woman driving a big vehicle, they immediately assume that she can’t handle it? They don’t make those assumptions with other men!
So today’s a typical example. I drove my sports truck into the parking lot of the bank that I was going to do business in. Having spotted an empty spot near to the entrance, I stopped, lined up the vehicle and was about to reverse in.
“Hey yu cyan back een so, yu ago lick the cyar!” someone hollered.
Now, I’m definitely not aversed to getting help when I need it. There are times when I have difficulty seeing the area, car nearby etc and I’d ask someone if I’m fine.
Today wasn’t a situation like that. I had a good view of the spot I was going into. I was so pissed that it took everything that I had not to respond with some $!@#!$. If he thought there was some risk of me hitting a vehicle and had pointed that out in a polite manner it wouldn’t have been so bad.
Anyhow, I ascertained once again that I was indeed fine, stared daggers into his chest, uttered a silent curse and continued parking. Wretch!
On a more pleasant note:
There’s a Jamaican girl in Donald Trump’s The Apprentice this season. Her name is Muna Heaven. Yeah! I hope she doesn’t embarass us by being an Omarosa! Sundays at 8pm on NBC is now a must-watch.
Update: 1:41am
I just went on the bloggie awards site and voted for this blog in the photo category. Nomination closes later today, so hop to it!

She cannot embarrass me.
Does Donald embarrass white men with bad hair? Not really.

Boorish men. Bah. Boo. My cousin and I were bad-talking the ones here, the other evening. It’s their lack of good ‘brought-upsy.’ But, as my cousin said, you’d think they’d learn now from the example of all the good guys out there.
If the tv stations here ever show The Apprentice, I’d root for Muna.

I know the men and I feel for you in your big truck! I usually drive a very small car but when my last car was stolen, I was diriving a hughe work pickup thingy for a while and got so fed up of all the people who thought I coulnd’t handle it. However, I did enjoy the way that people moved out of my way faster when they saw it coming!

If Muna’s anything like OmaHOsa, she’ll embarrass us… man I couldn’t stand that girl’s guts. Didn’t see much of Muna in epi 1 though… hope she shines soon.

The Apprentice is back? Cool. Thanks for the info. I think some men are intimidated by women driving large vehicles, and think driving is a male-only domain.

Now there’s a reason to get into Apprentice again — it had lost it’s lure for a moment.

Was he just a vagrant loitering in the parking lot? I notice those guys dig deep to find somthing to do.
I am not much of a ABC/NBC/CBS fan I suspect the apprentice comes on one of those channels but seeing as how I don’t even know where those channels are on my cable I doubt I’ve seen it before heh.. sad

Soooo, was I the only one who actually clicked on the expletive in your entry? LOL.
Speaking of boorish men, Donald Trump makes my list…Hehe.

LOVE the Apprentice, though the bad wig man annoys me.
Lawd, its tough to limit the boorish behaviour to driving in a bi truck, cuz this slams you in the face everywhere that you go! Chivalry is indeed dead.
I cast my vote for the Stunning fotos. Tunks for the tip.

Damn, after reading all that my eyes are tired.
Anyway… So you’re saying you DIDN’T have to do one of those Austin Powers 50-point turns to get in the space?
Hapinuear!
Gela Words // January 12, 2007 at 5:52 pm
Nope, no 50-point turns, was quite straight forward reverse in.
I think he was a cab-driver Adrian.
Yeah, The Donald been acting quite childish these days.
Don’t feel bad Simple, I saw it, wondered why it was coming up as a link and click on it as well.

“…stared daggers into his chest…”, lol, that’s a classic one!
Well, it isn’t bad to have a Jamaican on a highly rated show like The Apprentice. I have never watched the show before, but I guess I can check it out now. Muna nuh look too bad at all!
Thanks for the vote Gela!

Here the tendency is that the car belongs to your hubby, father or work they just dont see a woman having a big car that she paid for yet its ok for a man to have one. That irks me.
